Continuing Education

Please continue to monitor this page for updates.

Continuing education is a cornerstone of The Commission’s Virtual Symposium, and we know it’s an important factor in your decision to join us. Each year after the program is set, The Commission staff works with accrediting bodies to determine the number of continuing education hours that are approved for offering. These numbers may change from year to year based on each accrediting body's requirements. The number of CE approved for The Commission's Virtual Symposium may also vary by credit type.

At this time, we are unable to state the exact number of CE credits that will be available for each discipline applied, but we will post that information as it becomes available. Please continue to monitor this page for updates.

As a Point of Reference

Last year's Virtual Symposium provided attendees the opportunity to earn continuing education credits, among them CCM®, CDMS®, RN, CRC, and social work. Attendees could earn up to 12 continuing education credits from attending the live sessions, and last year, some disciplines were able to earn an additional 8 continuing education credits by accessing the session recordings post-event.

The Commission is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation, and is an approved provider for social work continuing education by the New York State Education Department.
